About Us
A-Dept is a family owned and run business, both partners have qualifications in Design, Fashion/textiles and Product design, which helps us select cutting edge, quality made, and value for money products for our customers. Our retail shop was set up to provide choice and quality goods in our immediate locality, it worked! & our customers love us! We have a policy to select ethical, fairtrade & eco friendly goods from non-exploitative producers and always welcome comments and suggestions from our customers to help us improve. We recycle our packaging (your parcel & wrap may well be 2nd hand!) and our re-order of shopping bags will be made of ’epi’ bio-degradable material.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, switch and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We use Royal Mail Standard parcel post and the charges are as published by them charged by weight plus our packing costs.

We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days .
Back Orders
We stock items from over 100 suppliers from 25+ countries and although we aim to send you everything that you may order, we sometimes may not be able to fulfil each request 100% However we can put some items on backorder if you don’t mind waiting. N.B. We cannot guarantee to supply everything shown on our site as some suppliers delete certain lines.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

a-dept do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy
We are happy to refund or replace faulty or damaged goods your statutory rights are unaffected We will also refund or exchange any unopened, unused, fully complete products if you have changed your mind (it happens) or find the item unsuitable provided the items are in saleable condition, less our packing and carriage charges. Please do not return any item before contacting us for a returns code.
